"Feet First"

Feet First issues the "Neighborhoods on Foot" series, walking maps of neighborhoods in and around Seattle. Feet First works with community members and community groups to involve them in the process of map-making. This community-engaged mapping process leads to a more informed map, more neighborhood awareness, and community members interested in distributing the map. In addition to input from community members, Feet First works to design the maps so that they address peoples' barriers to walking more, promote walking routes, highlight business districts, parks, and other open space.
