Power Shift
All across the country, tens of thousands of young adults are rising to confront the global warming challenge. Over the past two years, more than 300 colleges and universities have demonstrated their leadership and determination to create a clean energy future by adopting innovative policies that reduce their carbon footprints.
At the first ever national youth convergence on global warming (Nov. 2-5, College Park, MD), youth delegates will hear speakers, presentations, workshops, and panels that address the various facets of climate change; meet in regional and state groups to network for future activism; hear presidential candidates discuss their positions on climate change; and directly lobby congress for climate change legislation. There will also be a green job fair, a community engagement project, and much much more.
